Welcome to Fight Coop! My name is Richard Sison, and I am the founder and lead writer. I have been passionate about martial arts for over 20 years now, with a primary focus on Boxing, Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I have been competing in tournaments for 10 years and have a wealth of experience to share with our readers.
As a young and curious teenager, I stumbled upon the captivating world of martial arts. Each movement’s discipline, focus, and raw power instantly drew me in. Before I knew it, I was fully immersed in the sport.
My first love was boxing, where I was enamored by the sweet symphony of gloves hitting the skin and the adrenaline rush that came with each punch.
However, my passion for martial arts was not limited to just boxing. My thirst for knowledge led me to explore other styles, such as the fluid grace of Muay Thai and the strategic mastery of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. These new experiences only fueled my love for the sport even further.
Throughout my journey in martial arts, I have had the opportunity to train with some of the best coaches and fighters in the world. I have learned a great deal about the sport and the mental and physical discipline required to be a successful martial artist.
I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience with others. Martial arts can be a powerful tool for personal growth and development.

Proper nutrition is an essential aspect of training and competition. I have spent a lot of time researching and experimenting with different diets and supplements to optimize my performance. I understand that sports nutrition is a complex and ever-evolving field, and it can be overwhelming for martial artists to navigate. That’s why I make it a point to share my knowledge and experience on Fight Coop, providing our readers with practical and actionable advice on how to fuel their bodies for optimal performance.
Another aspect of martial arts that I am deeply passionate about is the mental and emotional benefits of the sport. I have found that martial arts has profoundly impacted my mental and emotional well-being, and I can do the same for others. Whether it’s the sense of accomplishment and self-confidence that comes with mastering a new technique or the stress-relieving benefits of a good training session, martial arts can have a powerful impact on our mental and emotional health.
I am also deeply committed to promoting gender equality in martial arts. I believe martial arts are for everyone, regardless of gender, and I am passionate about creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all martial artists. On Fight Coop, we make it a point to feature stories and interviews with female martial artists and to provide resources and support for women looking to get started in the sport.
In addition to my passion for martial arts, I work as a project manager, enhancing community inclusion opportunities by supporting adults with disabilities. This work has given me a unique perspective on the importance of physical and mental well-being. It has reinforced my belief that martial arts can positively impact people’s lives.
When I’m not busy with work or training in martial arts, I like to spend my weekends volunteering at a local women’s community cooperative. This organization is dedicated to providing essential resources and support to women in need. Being a part of their mission has been an enriching experience. Giving back to the community is critical to me. Working together can create positive change and make a real difference in people’s lives.
I am genuinely passionate about martial arts and its positive impact on people’s lives. Whether you are just starting or a seasoned veteran, martial arts have something to offer everyone. I am honored to be a part of this vibrant and growing community. Thank you for visiting Fight Coop, and I look forward to connecting with you and sharing my journey with you.
